Indian guru Sri Sathya Sai Baba died Sunday in a hospital in southern India. He was 86.

Aindra Das Passes Away In Vrindavan

In a shocking and saddening turn of events, world-famous kirtaniya and beloved Krishna devotee Aindra Dasa was found to have passed away on the morning of Saturday, July 17 in Vrindavana. Initial reports suggest that Aindra may have passed away due to an accidental gas leak in his room.

The Self at War
Arjuna is a warrior who feels the call to a more peaceful, non-invasive life. On the verge of a mammoth war he refuses to fight, even though the enemy is an aggressor who must be brought down. Like Arjuna, once we acknowledge the call to a more enlightened life we may also find mundane duties distasteful. Is it possible to attend to such obligations without compromising our higher self? Is it possible to live in the material world without becoming overwhelmed by it?

Summer pudding

This is a traditional English recipe, but one that is timeless in its appeal. The summer fruit pudding is cool and refreshing on those hot summer days. Rasperry is good alone but blackberrys, red currants, black currants and all berry fruits can be combined according to preference.
