Conflict is an inevitable part of life, but it can be managed effectively with the right tools and mindset. ISKCON Resolve is set to offer its “Foundation Course: A Guide for Addressing Kali Yuga Conflicts” in April 2025, facilitated by Vraj Vihari Das. This course provides a structured introduction to conflict resolution through a Vaisnava lens, equipping devotees with essential skills to navigate disputes in their personal, professional, and spiritual lives.

“In Kali-yuga, conflict is a ‘growth industry.’ We all experience it in our families, at work, and in our devotional communities,” said Vraj Vihari Das. “The Foundations Course equips us with the understanding and tools to deal effectively with conflicts and, even better, stop them from happening in the first place.”

The course is inspired by Srila Prabhupada’s guidance on maintaining unity within ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada emphasized the importance of avoiding discord, stating, “We have so much work to do, we cannot lose our solidarity. Do not cause a crack there with any fighting spirit or competition.”

Participants will gain insights into:

  • Srila Prabhupada’s instructions on conflict resolution
  • The five ways to address conflicts
  • The seven causes of conflict
  • Key characteristics and skills needed for conflict management
  • Applying these skills in an honest and Krsna-conscious manner
  • Building trust and fostering healthy communication
  • Using powerful questions and impartial listening techniques
  • Analyzing positions, emotions, and interests in conflicts

Course Structure and Schedule:

The program consists of four interactive sessions:

  2. “Stop this fighting, tolerate” (Srila Prabhupada’s letter) – Essential skills for handling conflicts.
