The documentary film Hare Krishna!, about the life and teachings of ISKCON Founder Srila Prabhupada, will be released on digital, DVD and Blu-Ray worldwide on August 21^st– just two weeks before Prabhupada’s appearance day.

Included with the film will be audio tracks to watch it in fifteen different languages, as well as a selection of special features such as never-before-seen deleted scenes.

The film is now available for pre-order in bulk for temple gift stores and retail outlets to stock it ahead of its release.

Directed by John Greisser (Yadubara Das) and Jean Griesser (Visakha Dasi), the film is one of the biggest productions in ISKCON’s history and is a perfect way to introduce new people to ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada and Krishna conscious philosophy.

The film has met with major acclaim and success. It sold out movie theaters in many countries around the world. It won the Jury Prize for Best Picture at Illuminate, the world’s premier conscious film festival, and was the official selection at Spirit Film Festival and Maui Film Festival. 

The film moved some viewers to tears, and has transformed how people think of ISKCON.

“People have gone into the movie thinking of the Hare Krishna Movement as a cultish group; maybe a little bit annoying on the streets or in airports,” says producer Jessica Heinrich. “But when they come out, their perspective on the movement has done a 180 – they’re amazed by Prabhupada, his teachings and what he did in such a short time.”
