Think Gita, a platform based on the teachings of S.B. Keshava Swami, is revolutionizing how the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita are shared with the world through its innovative facilitator training program. The program will equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to teach the Bhagavad-gita effectively in modern contexts. The program aims to make the wisdom of the Bhagavad-gita accessible and relatable while empowering facilitators to build supportive spiritual communities.
“The idea is to empower teachers and help share the knowledge and wisdom within their communities and groups,” said Raj Mukunda Das, Think Gita CEO and Co-Founder.
The training program is a structured six-week course that combines both theoretical knowledge and practical application. It includes four pre-recorded online sessions and two live sessions, providing a balanced mix of self-paced learning and real-time interaction. Raj Mukunda Das explained that the program is not just about teaching the philosophy of the Bhagavad-gita — it’s about learning how to communicate it in a way that resonates with people today. The training focuses on essential skills such as leading group discussions, engaging with participants, promoting group activities, and understanding the needs of newcomers.
A key feature of the program is its emphasis on practical application. Facilitators are taught how to create a welcoming environment where participants feel comfortable discussing spiritual concepts and asking questions. “We provide facilitators with a tested and proven formula for conducting sessions, handling questions, and guiding participants through the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita,” said Raj Mukunda Das.
Currently, Think Gita supports around 100 small groups operating in over 30 languages. More than 100 facilitators have already been trained, and another 100 are currently in training. This expansive reach underscores the growing interest in Krishna consciousness and the increasing demand for structured spiritual guidance. The program’s success lies in its ability to empower facilitators to take ownership of their groups and adapt the teachings to the cultural and social contexts of their communities.
Think Gita’s approach to training also emphasizes inclusiveness and sensitivity. Facilitators are encouraged to create an environment where participants feel valued and heard, regardless of their background or level of spiritual understanding. The purpose is not to make a rigid hierarchy but to empower facilitators to lead with compassion and understanding. This ensures that even newcomers feel comfortable engaging with the teachings and exploring their spiritual journey.

Think Gita operates with a global team of devotees from countries including India, Germany, France, Italy, and Turkey, who came together to share their service at the recent ISKCON Leadership Sanga (ILS) 2025 in Mayapur. Raj Mukunda Das exclaimed, “The ILS served as a valuable platform to advance this mission. The experience of interacting with people from different backgrounds and making connections was highly enriching. Many attendees showed interest in facilitating Think Gita after hearing about it for the first time. The facilitator guidebook, despite being available only in sample copies, received numerous orders, reflecting a strong interest in effective preaching to a modern, Western-minded audience.”
To further strengthen the facilitator network, Think Gita is organizing a special facilitator retreat at Radhadesh from May 27 to June 1, 2025. This retreat will offer an opportunity for facilitators to deepen their understanding of the Gita, refine their teaching skills, and connect with other facilitators. Raj Mukunda Das concluded, “This unique retreat will help strengthen yatras and expand outreach efforts. We encourage each temple to send at least one devotee to learn how to effectively share these teachings and train others within their communities.”
