SHF Leaders gather at Krishna Eco Farm for Directors Meeting.
On March 22, ISKCON Karuna Bhavan hosted the Scottish Hindu Foundation (SHF) at the Krishna Eco Farm, where the organization held their Directors Meeting and Student Retreat. The SHF is dedicated to preserving and promoting the vibrant tapestry of Hindu culture in Scotland. The farm and facilities provided the perfect setting for the gathering. ISKCON Karuna Bhavan is a vibrant Hare Krishna temple and community in Scotland, dedicated to spiritual education, devotional practice, and sustainable living. It serves as a hub for cultural programs, a significant food distribution initiative, and outreach activities, promoting Krishna consciousness and Vedic teachings.
According to a post by ISKCON UK, “The [SHF] leadership team came together to discuss exciting plans for the future, focusing on cultural events, youth leadership, and community outreach. Key initiatives were put forward to further strengthen and support Scotland’s Hindu community. With a shared vision and unwavering commitment, important decisions were made to continue growing, uniting, and creating a lasting impact.”
It also noted that “although the alpacas were initially the main attraction for the students, in the end, it was the sense of community and kirtan that stood out as their favourite. The students expressed a desire to return and get more involved at the Farm.”
