Mayapur Devotees Hold Special Kirtan for the Victims of the Jammu & Kashmir Terrorist Attack

On 14 February 2019, a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-bound suicide bomber in Lethpora near Awantipora, Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted in the death of 49 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and the attacker. 

On February 15th, the devotees of ISKCON Mayapur performed special harinam sankirtan at the Bhajan Kutir of Srila Prabhupad, for the 44 soldiers who laid their lives in a gruesome terrorist attack.

A large group of devotees were led by Alay Govind Das. They prayed for the peace of souls of the army men and requested the Lord to give strength to the families of the deceased.  

Later, lamps were lit before the Deties of Gaura Nitai. Pilgrims, visitors joined the devotees in expressing their grief.
