By ISKCON News   |  May 03, 2025

Mahatma Das and his daughter Shyama Mandali Dasi have announced a transformative weekend course for teens (age 10-18), rooted in Krishna Consciousness. “Bhakti Self-Care for Teens” will be held on May 10th and 18th, 8:30-12:00 EDT (6-9:30 PM IST).

With so many teens facing peer pressure, emotional struggles, and low confidence, the course aims to help teens create lifelong self-care habits, understand their true worth through Krishna’s eyes, explore their emotions and beliefs, and cultivate accountability with others.

About the Speakers

Mahatma Das has given courses and weekend retreats in multiple parts of the world, helping devotees deepen their practice and overcome common obstacles. His humor and depth of understanding, mixed with his years of experience, make it simple and easy to understand the contents of the course and put them into practice, and immediately see the benefits.

Syama Mandali Dasi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences with a concentration in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida. Her undergraduate thesis focused on child and adolescent mental health, with a particular emphasis on the role of drama therapy as a therapeutic intervention. Currently, she serves as a mental health support staff member at an after-school program for middle and high school students in Gainesville, Florida, where she is dedicated to fostering emotional well-being and resilience among youth.

There are limited spots available. For more information and to register for the course, click here (scroll to the bottom of the page for registration links). If you have questions, please email the retreat team here.
