A recent lecture titled “Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Saraswatī’s Lessons on Spiritual Leadership” was delivered in Māyāpur on February 17, 2025. In this talk, Vaisesika Das emphasized that a pure devotee is not necessarily omniscient like Kṛṣṇa. Instead, true advancement is characterized by being fully absorbed in spreading the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement worldwide. This perspective aligns with teachings from the Śrī Upadeśāmṛta, where different levels of devotees are described, highlighting that an uttama-adhikārī (topmost devotee) is always contemplating how to propagate Kṛṣṇa consciousness effectively. This approach reflects the essence of our paramparā, particularly the vision of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, whose Appearance Day devotees are celebrating worldwide.
The talk especially highlighted the ways Srila Prabhupada prioritized his spiritual master’s mission and how we can in turn answer Prabhupada’s call to each one of us: “So kindly help me. This is my request. Print as many books in as many languages and distribute throughout the whole world. Then the Krishna consciousness movement will automatically increase” (Arrival address, Los Angeles, June 20, 1975). Vaisesika concluded by saying, “If we chant Hare Krsna without offense we will get clear instruction from Krsna on how to interact with others (leadership) and how to form a mission and expand it. That’s our main job.”
Vaisesika Das has been leading a yatra in Jagannath Puri and Vrindavan before arriving in Mayapur. Devotees distributed over 5,000 books during their spiritual pilgrimage to the holy dhams. To connect with Vaisesika Dasa, please visit the Fan the Spark website.
