Bhaktivedanta Institute Seminars to Broaden Mumbai Students’ Perspective
Eight years after celebrated ISKCON scientist Richard L. Thompson’s (Sadaputa Dasa’s) passing, his former colleagues and some rising young Vaishnava scientists are relaunching the Bhaktivedanta Institute of Gainesville. Their inaugural seminar, held at the Alachua Learning Academy in North Central Florida on November 13th, was dubbed “Bhakti Yoga & Science in the 21st Century.”
The Mumbai branch of the Bhaktivedanta Institute, a scientific and educational institution formed by ISKCON founder Srila Prabhupada in the early 1970s, is set to offer two thought-provoking seminars this Saturday and Sunday, March 26th and 27th.
President of India Inaugurates Conference on `Science and Spiritual Quest’
“Education without values is like a flower without fragrance”, said Pratibha Patil, President of India, while inaugurating the 6th All India Students’ Conference on ‘Science and Spiritual Quest’ at New Delhi`s Vigyan Bhawan. The three-day conference was organized by the Bhaktivedanta Institute, Kolkata in association with the Delhi Technological University.
