What leads one to become a Hare Krishna youth leader, initiated brahmana, real estate and food company manager, GBC trainee, and yes, a magician, all before the age of thirty-five?
This year, they and other chaperones took thirty-eight boys aged 10 to 17 from Italy, Colombia, Canada and around the U.S. on the Summer Trip from June 22nd to July 23rd.
15 teenaged youth hailing from Australia, New Zealand and Bali, were inspired in Krishna consciousness as they traveled across Australia.
Since 1995, devotee youth headed by ISKCON Youth Ministry’s Manorama Das and his wife Jaya Sri Radhe Dasi have traveled all over the US and Canada every summer – and Mexico every winter. On each trip, they spread Krishna consciousness and get inspired themselves in the process.
Back in 1995, a young Manorama Das launched a two-week bus tour with his gurukuli friends, covering 1,500 miles and visiting Rathayatras and temples along the way. This year’s 20th anniversary bus tour ran for six weeks from July 8th to August 24th, with fifty youth including a large group from the UK, and gurukulis from Australia, Canada, Ireland, and India.

Around forty North American youth aged 17 and up will spend this Christmas and New Year’s on the adventure of a lifetime. Traveling 7,000 miles all the way from Alachua, Florida to Cancun, Mexico and back on ISKCON Youth Ministry’s Krishna Culture Tour bus, they’ll stage festivals and change lives all over Mexico.
Founded in 1979, Festival of India has been traveling from city to city putting on festivals and preaching to millions of people in the US. Although there's about 50 tons of festival equipment, what really makes the festivals happen are the 12 to 15 devotees that do the tour. This documentary gives us a glimpse of what these young men do and what happens at Hare Krishna Festivals of India.
