Slovenia’s “Eco Caravan” Celebrates Tenth Jubilee
Over the five days of the fifth annual Holy Name Festival in Ljubljana, from May 28th to June 1st, around 250 devotees from all over Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary, Serbia and other Eastern European countries chanted the Hare Krishna maha-mantra. The festival also brought the joy and color of chanting to the general public.
Over sixty devotees from sixteen different countries participated in the 10th Jubilee Slovenian Padayatra festival, also known as Eco Caravan, from June 28th to July 15th this summer.

Food For Life Attends Slovenia's Largest Student Festival
Recently, Food For Life Slovenia was present at 'Škisova tržnica' the biggest Slovenian students' clubs festival with more than 3o.ooo students in attendance. Twenty volunteers prepared and distributed thousands of cookies, sandwichs, puris and papadams to students and participants.
Eco-Caravan 2008: Seven Years in Slovenia
On June 25th, devotees from New Yogapitha in Slovenia embarked on Eco-Caravan 2008, their seventeen-day padayatra – literally translated as “festival on foot.” The cross-country pilgrimage, aimed at spreading spiritual and environmental awareness, was their seventh in a row.
The first group leaving Slovenian capital Ljubljana was forty-five strong. Many more devotees joined later however, when ISKCON Minister for deity worship Krishna Ksetra Dasa and exuberant preacher Janananda Goswami hopped on.
