  15,000 Youth Get Euphoric at Xpressions 2017

  The 8^th of April, 2017, marked the day when over 15,000 youths from across the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, got the chance to get inspired by spiritual wisdom in a grand event entitled as ‘Xpressions 2017’ in ISKCON Kanpur. Emphasizing on ‘De-addiction’ and ‘Value Empowerment’ within youth, ‘Xpressions 2017’ was an effort by a team of ISKCON devotees to bring the youth closer to their roots, re-introducing them to the rich cultural heritage they have inherited, focusing on the need for a positive approach to life, believing in themselves and working hard.

  ISKCON Youth Bus Tour to Mexico

  ISKCON Youth Ministry's Mexico bus tour between December 9, 2016  and January 3, 2017, will be an extraordinary adventure presenting Krishna culture festivals in towns, auditoriums and yoga studios, and visiting pyramids, jungle waterfalls and tropical beaches. "It's a life changing experience," says Manorama dasa, one of the organizers. "The young people who travel with us get a taste for the pioneering spirit of adventure, spreading Krishna consciousness, and will make devotee friends for life."

  Kulimela Blends Service, Fun, Family and Community

  The first Kulimela, held in New Vrindaban, West Virginia in 2006, was an effort by ISKCON’s second generation to move away from party-style gurukuli reunions and explore their identity and what they could accomplish both materially and spiritually. The 10^th anniversary of that Mela, which also took place in New Vrindaban from June 15^th to 19^th this year, took those themes further and showed new levels of maturity and stability amongst the Kuli community, while still being full of joy and celebration.

  ISKCON Kirtan Artists in Top 20 Conscious Albums of the Year

  Four kirtan albums by ISKCON chanters, most of them second-generation devotees, made the Top 20 Conscious Music Albums of 2015 list on Soul Traveller Radio this January. The list, voted for by listeners worldwide, included new age, electronica, and reggae artists, as well as renowned artists from the broader kirtan community such as Dave Stringer, Krishna Das, MC Yogi, and Deva Premal.

  Although the words “second generation” often refer to those born into the Hare Krishna Movement, the new initiative aims to help all 25 to 45-year-olds  who attend Alachua’s New Raman Reti temple, regardless of how they came to Krishna consciousness, to find balance and inspiration in their lives.   Krishna Culture Youth Bus Tour Celebrates 20th Anniversary

  Back in 1995, a young Manorama Das launched a two-week bus tour with his gurukuli friends, covering 1,500 miles and visiting Rathayatras and temples along the way. This year’s 20^th anniversary bus tour ran for six weeks from July 8^th to August 24^th, with fifty youth including a large group from the UK, and gurukulis from Australia, Canada, Ireland, and India.

  450 Delhi Youth Taste Bhakti Yoga Bliss on 'International Yoga Day'

  The worldwide increase of popularity of yoga inspired the United Nations to recognize 21st June as ‘International Yoga Day’. On this occasion, ISKCON’s Youth Forum (IYF) shared the bliss of bhakti yoga with Delhi youngsters through its bi-monthly youth festival called ‘Umanga’.

  UMANG (The Festival of Joy) at Mira Road, Mumbai

  "The Festival of Joy" was held in ISKCON Mira Road, Mumbai on 14th October, 2012. 1300 youths participated from various colleges (Bhartiya Vidya Peeth, Pillai Institute of Tech. and Management, DY Patil, AC Patil College of Engineering, Saraswati College of Engineering).

• INDIA: CII seeks revision in National Youth Policy

  Young Indians (Yi), an arm of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has organised the 3rd Young India National Summit 2007 on February 2 and 3, 2007 which aims to be the voice of young Indians globally and provide them a platform to realise the dream of a developed India. The four-year-old movement is made up of 14 chapters across the country, with 750 members aged 25-40.

  Here at ISKCON Pandharpur, we just had our first Youth Festival. More than two hundred youths attended from district towns and villages across Maharashtra including Pandharpur, Jaisingpur, Solapur, Amravati, Pune, Jalgoan, Vita, Satara, Sangli, Aravade, Alibhag, and Bid.
