The Vaishnava Institute for Higher Education (VIHE) is inviting all the serious students to a transformational Bhakti-sastri course. Bhakti-sastri course is a systematic study of Srila Prabhupada’s books. Srila Prabhupada wanted all his followers to deeply study his books, so that they could be better preachers, teachers and, very importantly, achieve a clear understanding and application of the science of devotional service.
This year the English Bhakti-sastri course in Vrindavan is scheduled to take place from July 19 to November 12.
Requirements for the course: Good sadhana, brahminical tendencies, voluntary service, proficiency in English and a recommendation/character sketch from a senior devotee who knows you well. Assessment criteria include attendance and personal conduct.
Assessment : Essays and closed book exams accompanied by exemplary conduct and sadhana.
Contribution to the running costs of the course : Rs. 9,000/-. Lunch prasadam is served in the VIHE, sponsored by the alumni students and other well-wishers. A few scholarships are available.
