Visakha Dasi has just released a new short video A Bumpy Journey Toward Harmony with the Bhagavad-gita. It is a 24-minute DVD with music, sound effects, provocative wisdom and over 250 stunning photographs.

The video is based on Visakha’s book Bhagavad-gita: A Photographic Essay, which won the Independent Publisher Book Award in 2011 in the USA.

The autobiographical film is about a young American, disillusioned by the pressures and mindlessness of Western education and consumerism, journeys to the East looking for fun and adventure. In India she unexpectedly finds truth and knowledge beyond the intellect, beauty and hope beyond the mundane.

Her life is never the same.
