Record-breaking crowd of 8000+ youth and guests gathered in Kanpur

ISKCON Kanpur has surcharged the youth with UP’s biggest youth festival, XPRESSION 2023, on 7th April, with the purpose of reviving the spiritual consciousness of the youths of India.

The theme of this year was Mental Wellness, and ISKCON Kanpur officially attempted for the World record in maximum participation. By the will of Lord Krishna and by the divine mercy of Srila Prabhupada ISKCON Kanpur successfully made a world record with the participation of 8000+ youths. It was a huge gathering where thousands of youths and directors of various prestigious colleges and schools from all over UP took part to support ISKCON to set a milestone.

We had the presence of World renowned motivational speaker and devotee HG Amogh Lila Prabhu, who graced the event with his enlivening talk entrapped with humor. Other renowned acts were performed by India’s Got Talent’s Crazy Hoppers and sand artist Sarvam Patel. IIT BHU devotees staged a performance of thought-provoking drama on Mental Wellness. We had the auspicious presence of the Zonal Secretary of UP, HG Devakinandan prabhu ji, HH Bhakti Prachar Parivrajaka Swami Maharaj, and our chief guest Mr. Rajkumar Lohia, an eminent industrialist, who gave wonderful talks to inspire the youths to accept Krishna consciousness in the presence of our esteemed members of Sri Sri Radha- Madhav advisory committee headed by Mr. SK Paliwal(chairman), Mr. Mahendra Agrawal(vice-chairman).

With the participation of thousands of youths, ISKCON Kanpur celebrated the festival for three consecutive years in 2016, 2017 & 2018, and now this year again, ISKCON Kanpur celebrated with more enthusiasm and greater participation in the mega youth festival.

In the first stage of Xpression, many competitions were held, like the Gita Contest, Hackathon, Video making, and poster making, in which thousands of students enthusiastically took part. Continuing this initiative, ISKCON Kanpur is soon going to launch a website and a Google app for the benefit of everyone. Xpression’s purpose is to help the youths to maintain good mental health following the most ancient and relevant principles of the Bhagavad Gita, which will help them perform their duties with focus and attention.

Each & every participant in the event was gifted with free dinner prasadam and a Mental Wellness kit containing the Bhagavad-Gita and other spiritual items.
