The Sri Mayapur International School’s holistic approach to education engages the body, mind, intelligence and words of devotee children from all over the world. Nestled amidst mango, guava and kadamba trees in the lush countryside of ISKCON Mayapur’s community in West Bengal, 120 Km north of Calcutta, the school and its residential Ashram buildings are ideally situated. There are separate campus facilities for high school boys and girls, as well as a combined primary section.

With the sacred confluence of the Ganges and Jalangi (Saraswati ) rivers in walking distance and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s most auspicious birthplace in sight, the atmosphere is perfect for spiritual advancement, as well as a peaceful setting for academic studies.

Since the school is located at ISKCON’s World Headquarters, both students and staff have the wonderful benefit of participating in ecstatic festivals attended by devotees and pilgrims from all over the world.

The spiritual Krishna Conscious program at SMIS is based on the books of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and practical aspects of sadhana and a Krishna Conscious lifestyle are taught. The academic education and qualification is based on the internationally recognized Cambridge Curriculum. Upon graduating students achieve both a Cambridge Certificate and a Bhakti Shastri degree.

The new school year commences on 17 August 2009 (till 12 June 2010). Enrollment is presently in process, and if you wish to have a place for your child at this wonderful place that has been established for our children by the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, please contact the school immediately as places are limited! Please also note that it is to the detriment of your child if he/she does not start school on time, and due to this the school will only accept new enrolments twice per year at specified times. Children from age 3 (Pre-School) to age 18 (Year 12) are welcome.
