The Palace of Gold was constructed during the ‘70s and opened in 1979. Time and weather have taken their toll over the last 35 years and Srila Prabhupada’s “Samadhi in the West” is in need of major renovation work. The project is estimated to take between 5 and 10 years.

ISKCON New Vrindaban Community in Moundsville, West Virginia USA is seeking a person to oversee this renovation project.

The project manager will be responsible for the following:

• Studying options and making recommendations
• Estimating the project
• Purchasing
• Administering the contracts
• Managing job site and construction operations
• Planning and scheduling the project
• Monitoring project quality
• Managing project safety

The two most important skills needed to succeed in CM (Construction Management) are decision making and problem solving.

The project manager will need to have a background in the following areas:

• LEED awareness
• Eco/Alternative technology
• Concrete construction
• Concrete casting, esp. SSC (self consolidating concrete)
• Stone masonry (granite and marble)
• Steel construction
• Roofing
• Electrical (commercial)
• Plumbing (commercial)
• HVAC
• Mechanicals
• Conversant with blueprints for different trades
• Applied coatings and sealants
• Other various aspects of construction and the related trades

This labor of love could certainly be the crowning glory to some fortunate soul’s spiritual resume.

We are asking for a minimum two year commitment. Lodging, prasadam and a vehicle will be provided.

Pay will be on par with other managers in the community.
