On August 27th, to celebrate the auspicious appearance day of ISKCON-founder Srila Prabhupada, the students and teachers of Sri Mayapur International school attended a very special event at the Srila Prabhupada ashram.

The ashram boys performed the installation ceremony of a murti of Srila Prabhupada, who will be worshipped in the ashram temple. 14 ashram boys from different countries, all students at Sri Mayapur International School, did the Vedic ceremonies of prana pratistha, abhshek and homa to welcome the deity of the revered Founder Acarya.

The festival began and ended with a  grand procession of over two hundred students carrying Srila Prabhupada on a palanquin, with kirtan.

Subhag Swami and other disciples of Srila Prabhupada, attended the ceremony and gave their blessings and encouragement to the children.

The ashram director, Ram Vigraha dasa, spent many months training the boys for the ceremony.

Srila Prabhupada Asrham is the residential campus for boys aged 9 to 18, studying at Sri Mayapur International School.
