There are vacant positions for Grade 6 primary school teacher (start by March 2011) and high school English teacher (to start January/February 2011).

Requirements for the position of high school English teacher:

Proven experience of teaching high school level English is essential. SMIS is a Cambridge International Examinations Centre so the successful candidate should be willing to be trained in the IGCSE, AS and A level syllabus of Cambridge International Examination Board.

Requirements for the position of Grade 6 teacher (10 and 11 year old children):

The successful applicant will have either a recognized teaching qualification, and/or a proven track record of successfully teaching in schools, and have the ability to plan, deliver, assess and report student outcomes according to the U.K. curriculum.

Both positions would be on an ongoing basis after a trial period of 3 months.

The remuneration includes:

• Monthly maintenance wage commensurate with experience
• Teacher’s apartment provided (subject to availability) or assistance with accommodation
• Lunch meal provided
• Free education for first child of teacher, half price for subsequent children
