The 33rd Annual Prabhupada Festival has returned as a two-day event in Los Angeles on Memorial Day Weekend (May 25th and 26th). This year’s celebration will be a most memorable celebration of Srila Prabhupada as seen through the eyes of his daughters with the focus on Prabhupada’s quality of compassion.
Malati, Kusa, and Ananga Manjari are flying in for a blissful panel discussion along with a special mystery guest. There will also be readings from the Lila-amrita by Prabhupada’s female disciples and a zoom discussion with Jadurani and Rukmini discussing how Prabhupada encouraged and supported them with love. As a bonus event, an open air bus is being rented to take the devotees on a sankirtan ride chanting throughout Santa Monica and Beverly Hills to the favorite spots Srila Prabhupada held his morning walks.
This year’s festival will also feature the largest garland ceremony offering to Prabhupada that has ever been performed accompanied by a melodic bhajan from some of ISKCON’s leading kirtaniyas. You don’t want to miss that! In addition, Yadubara’s Following Srila Prabhupada will be screened for inspiration, as well as selected oral histories from Siddhanta’s Memories series that feature Prabhupada’s daughters like Mulaprakriti, Jyotirmayi, Sahadevi and many more. And don’t forget about the sumptuous feasts that are famous in L.A. prepared by Gunamayi dasi. So, mark your calendar, and make your accommodation reservations early.
