The Bhaktivedanta Medical Association – US (BMA-US) will be holding its 6th annual BMA Conference at Deland, Florida, on February 2nd-4th, 2024.

Their purpose is to provide a spiritual atmosphere where devotees involved in the healthcare field can meet and bond with one another and brainstorm ways to help our devotee communities at large. Part of the global Bhaktivedanta Medical Association, THE BMA-US held its previous 2020 retreat in Houston with over 100 participants from all across North America.

In the summer of 2019, Bhakti Charu Swami asked Prasannatma Das (Dr. Prasanna Tadi), a Geisinger Stroke/Vascular Neurologist, to “invite all the doctors to Deland and serve them nicely, and I will be personally present at that time.” Unfortunately, Bhakti Charu Swami left our association in the summer of 2020 without seeing this request come to fruition. However, the organizers are now trying to fulfill his desire through this retreat at Deland.

Why attend this conference?

  1. It is a platform for getting together to have “sanga” with various spiritually minded health professionals as well as many senior devotees in a warm and friendly environment.
  2. It is a space for the sharing of ideas to improve our health and the health of the community. Health is an important gift of God (Krishna), and therefore, it is said, “Health is wealth.”
  3. It is a place for meaningful discussions about balancing professional life and spiritual life and enhancing our services
  4. It is an opportunity to have a memorable experience in the Sunshine State while developing new friendships and relishing delicious prasadam, melodious devotional kirtan, singing, dancing, and a lot more.

Some of the speakers at the conference include Kalakantha Das and Bhaktimarga Swami, who has offered a special video invitation to the event here. For a detailed schedule, click here.
