On June 24th, a day-long celebration was held at the famous Sri Badarinath Temple, in Badarikashram, Uttarakhand, India.
The event was attended by Gopal Krishna Goswami, and it was organized by Deenanayak Das, Patitsaran Das and Vishal Nimai Das, representatives of ISKCON’s Delhi’s Uttarakhand community. The purpose of celebrations was to commemorate the upcoming 50th Anniversary of ISKCON’s establishment and to educate people of Uttarakhand about the teachings of Sri Caitanya.
B.D. Singh the Chairman of the Badari-Kedar Temples Committee gladly honored ISKCON’s request to use the facilities, and along with Bhuwan Chandra Uniyal religious leader, he spoke in appreciations of ISKCON’s worldwide activities in his inaugural statement.
Mr. B. D. Singh invited ISKCON devotees worldwide to visit and arrange kirtan-melas at the Badrinath temple premises.
