ISKCON’s Vaishnavis Lead UN Panel on Spirituality and Sustainability
By Radha Devi Dasi   |  Mar 04, 2023

ISKCON’s Vaishnavi Ministry has organized a virtual panel discussion entitled “Responsible Innovation for a Sustainable World: The Right Blend of Intent, Intuition, and the Feminine Heart with Information and Technology.” This panel will explore how we can bring feminine intuition and spiritual practice into our efforts to create a sustainable world. Women are blessed with intuition and biologically programmed for connecting with others. By leading from the heart, building community, and looking for solutions based on cooperation rather than competition, we can inspire deeper change in how humanity deals with existential threats like climate change.

ISKCON members Rukmini devi dasi and Raas Bhakti devi dasi will be joined by speakers from outside ISKCON who represent different faith traditions, countries, and professional fields. Rukmini devi is a disciple of Srila Prabhupada and founder of the Urban Devi collective based out of the Bhakti Center in New York City. She is also a member of the SABHA and writes and teaches internationally. Raas Bhakti devi dasi is a disciple of Radhanatha Swami and currently serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer of the Govardhan EcoVillage. She is also the Vaishnavi Ministry’s Senior Assistant for UN Affairs.

The panel, which will take place on March 8, 2023, at 6:30 pm IST, is co-sponsored by Govardhan EcoVillage and the Brahma Kumaris, a Hindu organization committed to world renewal through the spiritual empowerment of individuals. Every March, the UN hosts the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), a two-week conference with hundreds of events discussing issues that affect women globally. The Vaishnavi Ministry’s virtual panel is part of this conference and is open to everyone. Registration through the UN is free using the link below and the event will also be streamed on the Vaishnavi Ministry’s YouTube channel (
