Recently, in South Africa, the new Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) division there managed to print a book in Zulu, and the book was launched on a main stage during the Durban Ratha Yatra festival. Swarupa Damodara Dasa, the Durban temple president, later said about the event: “My most moving Rathayatra experience was the launch of ‘Ngale Kokufa Nethuna,’ the Zulu translation of Srila Prabhupada’s ‘Beyond Birth and Death’. Having just received the book from the printer, we arranged to present it on Saturday evening. Although only ten thousand copies were printed this time, the children on stage dancing and gently waving the book was a powerful sign that publishing more books will start to flood South Africa with Krishna consciousness in an unprecedented way.”
