When I wander across the waters
Of this material world
May I always return to the shores
Of Krishna consciousness
When I marvel at the waves
Crashing and moving
With wild abandon
May I always remember
The source of their power
The supreme controller
When I am saddened by
The troubles and pains of life
May I remember the teachings
That I am spirit soul
And can soar above it all
Like the gulls that ride the wind
When I am distracted by distractions
And the glitter and gold of others
May I remember it’s all an illusion
Perfectly set up to take me down
And keep me locked in the dream
Of enjoying forever here
When I finally get the point
Of the futility of material existence
May I enter the spiritual ocean
And dive deep in the waves
To stay there forever.
