On September 18th & 19th, 2010, organized by ISKCON Boston there will be a celebration of the 45th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in the West. The festival`s highlight is a visit to Boston’s Commonwealth Pier, where Srila Prabhupada first stepped ashore in the USA and a yacht cruise of Boston Harbor with Srila Prabhupada and hundreds of devotees.

Commonwealth Pier is where it all starts; this is where Srila Prabhupada asks Lord Krishna for the ability to spread the Krishna Consciousness Movement.

In 2009, fifteen of Srila Prabhupada’s disciples along with 300 devotees gathered in Boston to celebrate the 44th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in America. This year the organizers hope to increase the size of the festival and continue to increase year over year in preparation for the 50th anniversary festival in 2015.
