On June 22nd, 2022 at the Vedic wedding ceremony of Jayesh Dasa and Elsa Thunander, ISKCON Almik Farm community had the honor of receiving the Indian Ambassador to Sweden and Lativa, H. E. Mr. Tanmaya Lal and his wife, Mrs. Sumita Lal.
The ambassador and his wife congratulated the newly married couple and offered them a lovely gift as well. Mr. and Mrs. Lal were impressed by the two theatrical dramas on the Ramayana, which were choreographed and performed by the local ISKCON youth. They also showed great interest and appreciation for the wonderful artwork and paintings of local artist Janmanalaya Dasa, a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, who resides with his family at the Almik Farm.
The Ambassador appreciated the eco-village community, cow protection, and dynamic youth engagement. Last year the couple also visited the New Radha Kunda temple near Stockholm during the Janmashtami festival. The ambassador had previously invited Kamala Priya Devi Dasi, Director for ISKCON Communications in Sweden, to two cultural programs organized by the Indian Embassy. H.E. Mr. Tanmaya Lal and Mrs. Sumita Lal show great appreciation for the devotional and cultural activities done by ISKCON.
