ISKCON inaugurated a new temple at the birthplace of Lord Nityananda, Ekachakra Dham. The temple is built in traditional Bengali style, painted saffron – a lovely sight in the midst of a rural area. ISKCON GBC Jayapataka Swami remarked that this was a humble offering to Srila Prabhupada and Lord Nityananda for the occasion of the auspicious year of ISKCON 50th.
Ekachakra Dham is Lord Nityananda's birthplace. ISKCON's new temple innauguration on the 14th of February, 2016 is an offering to Srila Prabhupada on ISKCON's 50th Anniversary.
On February 1, 2015 the TOVP Seva Office in Mayapur officially opened with a grand celebration consisting of Lord Nityananda's Paduka (shoes) leaving the altar for the first time to bless the occasion. The Lord's divine shoes are also scheduled to go on an extensive three month tour to North America starting in March, 2015 to bless and give all the devotees His darshan.
