Vyasa-puja is an annual celebration by devotees of Krishna to offer homage to their guru, or spiritual teacher.
Krishna took on giant form and ate all the offerings – and called for more. Feeling a little anxious, the farmers brought whatever else they could. More, he called. More! And once we have given everything, and God asks for yet more, then what happens? Are we left broken and alone, with nothing?
The yearly International Vaisnavi Retreat was established in 2011 to give the ladies of ISKCON special educational opportunities and to strengthen networking connections between junior and senior vaisnavis.
On August 18th, ISKCON celebrates the birthday of its founder A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977). This upcoming film celebrates his life and echievements. For more information please visit: www.acharyathemovie.com
"Here in my cell (what a fitting analogy for all the cages and traps I prepared for myself), I take you, Srila Prabhupada, as my father and my family, and as my “boss”, and as my friend, and as my authority."
This year, as always, the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust requests Srila Prabhupada's followers to submit their homages to Srila Prabhupada for his Vyasa-puja book.
