Ireland’s ISKCON 50/30 Sri Sri Radha Govinda’s Installation Event Celebrations
New York Celebrates Sri Sri Radha Govinda’s 40th Anniversary
The temple building, an old manor house, once witnessed top business families, associates of Lords and Ladies and even the famous Winston Churchill, all of whom used the scenic area of Upper Lough Erne in the border Lakelands of Ireland for hunting. Now it was claimed as a religious settlement and home for Krishna and His devotees. The year was 1986, Ireland was still in the midst of a guerrilla warfare conflict.
The beautiful deities of Radha Govinda were given to Srila Prabhupada by the Maharani of Jaipur, Gayatri Devi. The devotees of ISKCON New York have a 10 day festival of kirtans, devotional plays, spiritual discourses, prasadam feasts, including the famous Ratha Yatra Festival on Manhattan`s Fifth Avenue on June 9th.
