If you love bright colors, a big party and getting dirty, you may want to join the massive crowds heading to Spanish Fork, Utah, USA this weekend.
They’re going to the Colors Festival at the Hare Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. Organizers are expecting over 50,000 people. Those who go, sing and dance and throw all types of different colored chalk at each other. Organizers tell ABC 4 it’s part of a religious ceremony to help people unwind and come closer to God.
“People can forget their mundane worries, their academics, their retirement fund for the day and come in and just enjoy each other and chant the names of God,” said Charu Das, Colors Festival Coordinator.
