As of this morning, March 3rd, 2022, 8:30 AM EST it has been reported that some of the Kyiv devotees are traveling to ISKCON Farm(s), other cities, and other areas of the country for their safety.
Some devotees are still staying at the temple, others are remaining in their homes near the temple in Kyiv. We continue to ask devotees around the world to pray for their safety.
The account that was shared on ISKCON News where donations can be sent to help the Ukrainian devotees is still active and functioning. Please see our Verified Donations article for the most updated payment methods.
Ukrainian devotees are currently working on getting Paypal set up. As soon as ISKCON News has that information, we will update you. There is a team of three devotees who are overseeing that account, they are in touch with devotees around the country who may be in need and are disbursing funds to assist individuals and families as needed.
This morning Niranjana Swami, GBC Representative, expressed to us, “Devotees in Ukraine are overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and heartfelt prayers and thoughts for their wellbeing.”
In addition to the donation accounts we have laid out, there are many individual campaigns happening to get money to Ukrainian devotees. When asked about this, Niranjana Swami stated, “By all means grassroots efforts of support are welcome.”
ISKCON News will keep you updated with the latest information as it becomes available to us. We also encourage you to verify wherever you choose to send financial support.
