The Vrindavan Institute for Higher Education (VIHE) will launch a Bhakti-vedanta course online on December 17, 2024. This course is designed for devotees with a Bhakti-vaibhava degree to systematically study the last six cantos of the Srīmad-Bhagavatam.
Bhakti Dhira Damodara Swami shared the aim of the course, “This Bhakti-vedānta course is an opportunity to deepen our understanding of Krsna consciousness and to cultivate the qualities needed to serve as humble instruments in spreading the teachings of Srīmad-Bhagavatam.” You can watch our promotional video about the course here.
Course Overview:
The course covers Cantos 7, 8, and 9 initially, with later sessions focusing on Cantos 10 through 12. It includes seminars on Hermeneutics, Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, Southern Ocean, Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu, Western & Northern Ocean, and Tattva-sandarbha.
The course will be guided by Bhakti Prabhava Swami, Yadunandana Swami, Sarvabhauma Dasa, Srivasa Dasa, Urmila Devi Dasi, and Prabhupada Priya Devi Dasi.

The first semester begins on December 17, 2024, and will be conducted online via Zoom. The entire detailed schedule is as follows:

Canto 10, Part 1: Jul-Nov 2025
Canto 10, Part 2: Dec-Apr 2026
Canto 10, Part 3: Jul-Nov 2026
Canto 11 & 12: Dec-Apr 2027
Eligibility:
Students are required to have a Bhakti-vaibhava Degree or proof of study if they still need to graduate. They must also be committed to class attendance with camera on during sessions, have proficiency in English, and a stable internet connection.
