Viplava Youth Festival 2021

ISKCON Youth Forum [IYF] Delhi celebrated its annual Youth Festival, ‘VIPLAVA- A Revolution in Consciousness’,  from October 22nd to 24th 2021, at Fogla Ashrama, Bhaktivedanta Marga, Srī Vrndāvana Dhāma, for 2000+ youth from across the nation.

IYF is the youth wing of ISKCON Delhi and has for the last decade been engaged in organizing seminars, holding festivals, and conducting development programs with the prime objective of empowering youngsters to unleash their potential and become servant leaders to help society in these turbulent times.

Dignitaries on Stage

Like every year, Viplava once again inspired and empowered youngsters across the nation. The event was initiated with a lamp lighting C=ceremony in presence of Sundar Gopal Das- (Chairman, IIYC & Director, IYF Delhi) and other assistant directors of his team. Thenceforward, the festival consisted of amazing events such as ‘Aap ki Adalat’ with Amogh Lila Das and Kirtan Mela by Famous Kirtaniyas such as HH Lokanath Swami Maharaj, Vaiyasaki Das, and HH Bhakti Anugraha Janardan Swami.

This year’s Viplava was focused on celebrating the life of ISKCON’s Founder-Acarya HDG A.C. Bhaktivedanta Svami Srila Prabhupada –  The Empowered Acarya who accomplished astounding feats and achievements, undergoing great austerity and inconvenience at an advanced age, solely out of compassion for all living entities.

On his 125th birth anniversary year, A special Amazing Srila Prabhupada event was organized in which participants from different cities prepared models, posters, and poems describing the life history of Srila Prabhupada, also they wrote their gratitude for him on a ‘Special Gratitude Wall’.

Shadow Art Performance by IIT Delhi Students

The event was a blend of entertainment like Powerful Heated Debate on Modern Culture Vs Vedic Culture by IYF Gurgaon Devotees, Drama on “Life Of Bilvamangala Thakura” and Shadow Art Performance by IIT Delhi Students, and wisdom talks delivered by leaders in ISKCON.

The festival saw talks by ISKCON leaders like Lokanath Swami, Gopal Krishna Goswami, Prabodhanand Swami, Bhakti Ashray Vaishnav Swami, and Sankarshan Nitai Das (Regional Secretary).

ISKCON Leaders from Delhi-NCR who graced the event were Mohan Rupa Das [Temple President, ISKCON Delhi], Rukmini Krishna Das [ISKCON Zonal Supervisor, Punjab & Haryana], Amogh Lila Das [Vice President, ISKCON Dwarka].

Prize Distribution

From the corporate sector, Dr. Vivek Bindra [Founder & CEO of Bada Business] and Dr. Veerendra Mishra ( Director of the National Institute of Social Defense) addressed the audience.

Dr. Vivek Bindra  [Founder & CEO of Bada Business] shared his experiences and life principles that he had learned at ISKCON temple being a monk for 3 years. He also urged the youth to take part in this great movement by becoming a helping hand to transform the lives of millions.

Sundar Gopal Das Director of ISKCON Youth Forum & Viplava Festival emphasized the need of preaching Krishna consciousness becoming part of the commitment to serve humanity at large by connecting them to Krishna and also conducting the Viplava at a bigger scale of 5000.

The event also consisted of multiple prize distribution ceremonies to award the enthusiastic youth who had been serving selflessly and maintained their commitment for the cause of serving Srila Prabhupada and humanity at large.

The event met an apt end with a massive sankirtan protest against the recent atrocities against Hindus across Bangladesh. IYF raised its voice against this insanity and used the platform of Viplava to strongly condemn the continued persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh, and across the world.
