Thousands of devotees gathered on day three of the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium’s Grand Opening of its Lord Nrsimhadeva Wing in Sri Mayapur Dham.
Describing the day, Anuttama Dasa, Global Minister of Communications, said, “It was an inspiring and auspicious event. Many of the speakers urged us to work cooperatively to raise the needed contributions so the temple may be completed within the next two to three years.”
He continued, “When Lord Nrsimhadeva’s Wing was inaugurated, it was beautifully choreographed with senior devotees and sponsors simultaneously entering the building from three sides. As the curtains opened, it was not possible at first to see the deity because of the smoke of incense, but gradually Lord Nrsimhadeva appeared and everyone present was somewhat awestruck. The fire yajna was similarly auspicious and I felt cleansed as well as inspired.”
It should be noted that the Lord Nrsimhadeva deity worshiped every morning in the main temple will not be moved to the TOVP until all of the deities are moved once the temple is completed, so the deity present at this event was a replica of the installed deity.
