  • TOVP Superstructure Complete, Detail Work Begins

    After a very productive year in 2016, the team working on ISKCON’s upcoming flagship temple – the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) – have reported that the superstructure of the 520,000 square foot building has been completed. In addition, plastering and brickwork of the whole building has been finished, as well as external concreting of the three domes, including the 370-foot-high main dome.

  • New U.S. TOVP Office and Foundation

    The American team of Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) will be opening a new office in Alachua, Florida to manage their fundraising and promotional operations in America. The office is a house donated for this purpose by Ambarisa Das. Along with the office, a newly formed Foundation, TOVP Foundation, Inc. has been set up with Sesa Das as its chairman. Sesa is also the 2016 appointed GBC Chairman, as well as the ISKCON Minister of Education.

  • TOVP Domes Completed, Finishing Work Underway

    The superstructures of all three domes of ISKCON’s upcoming flagship temple – the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium in Mayapur, West Bengal – have been completed, and finishing work is now underway. At its highest point, the temple will stand 113 meters (370 feet) tall, higher than the Taj Mahal and St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
