Hoofprint Media is a family-owned and operated multimedia design company based in the United States, specializing in web design, graphic design, photography, and film. Over the years, Hoofprint Media has significantly contributed to the impact and success of ISKCON temples, devotional projects, and devotee-operated businesses worldwide. What sets Hoofprint Media apart is its unwavering commitment to excellence. Their team of skilled designers and developers is dedicated to employing top-notch tools and equipment to elevate their expertise and provide enhanced services to their clients. Bhismadeva Dasa, the founder, has offered us interesting insights into his background and the inspiration behind establishing this remarkable initiative.

In Bhismadeva’s senior year of high school, he stumbled upon one of Srila Prabhupada’s books, The Science of Self Realization in a bathroom in Northern California. At that moment, he sensed that the answers he sought were within those pages. He was so convinced of its significance that he advocated for it to be considered “acceptable” reading material in his English class. While his understanding was limited, he valued Srila Prabhupada’s sincerity and the profound truths he expounded about the nature of the soul.

At the age of 19, Bhismadeva had his initial encounter with a sankirtan devotee, Bhrgupati prabhu, at a music festival. Bhrgupati prabhu provided him with the Bhagavad Gita As It Is and a CD containing all of Srila Prabhupada’s books, encouraging him to keep in touch. From there, the teachings came to life, and he became a “Krishna.com Bhakta,” regularly ordering books and devotional supplies online. Actively engaging in live chat rooms with Mahatma Das, Chaturatma Das, and others, he relished the association of devotees despite not living near a temple. At the age of 22, after visiting the San Diego temple and immersing himself in their dynamic Krishna Lounge program, he joined the brahmachari ashram.

Bhismadeva Dasa served in the ISKCON San Diego temple from 2009 to 2014. While in the ashram, he was closely involved with book distribution and producing and distributing the 16 Rounds to Samadhi magazine. He witnessed the profound impact that could be achieved through conscious media and quality design. Since then, Bhismadeva Dasa has gained an insightful perspective regarding the critical role of media and the nuanced art of crafting designs that resonate specifically with newcomers. Thus, he founded Hoofprint Media as a one-stop solution to help devotees with their multimedia and marketing needs.

Bhismadeva Dasa said, “We’ve been honored to support numerous devotee-owned businesses and devotional projects, including ISKCON temples, restaurants, schools, and farms globally. From creating modern and functional websites to designing attractive promotional materials like cards, posters, and banners, our goal is to meet our clients’ multimedia needs comprehensively. Beyond design, we also excel in capturing special moments through photography and film, including events, weddings, conferences, fundraising initiatives, and more.”

In the current year, Hoofprint Media has expanded its photography and film departments, added inspired and talented young third-generation devotees to their team, and undertaken the design and launch of websites for numerous ISKCON temples, outreach initiatives, and devotee-owned businesses, offering comprehensive graphic design services alongside. Among its notable projects are the websites for ISKCON Silicon Valley, Bhakti Community, Stanford Conscious Living, Bluestone Technologies, Absorbable, Gandharvika Seva Fund, MAI Security, Vaisnava Family Resources, Krishna Gourmet, Pine Lake Retreat, Body Mind Spirit Retreat, Gopal Jiu Publications, and more.

Bhismadeva Dasa added, “The significant growth of Hoofprint Media has been marked by the valuable addition of my wife, Haripriya Devi, to the team. As the youngest daughter of the renowned ISKCON media couple, Yadubara Dasa and Visakha Dasi, she has naturally embraced multimedia capture and design. Her parents express pride in the fact that “we are ‘taking over the family business.’ With all the blessings and opportunities we have received, the future of Hoofprint Media looks very bright.”

In support of devotees’ outreach initiatives, Hoofprint Media provides a wide range of customizable promotional materials such as pamphlets, banners, table throws, tents, and more. Devotees provide their temple or project details, and Hoofprint Media takes care of the design and printing process on their behalf. Two noteworthy pamphlets have been developed: 1) Mantra Meditation Guide and 2) Krishna Culture at a Glance. To date, nearly 500,000 copies of these pamphlets have been printed and distributed nationwide and in multiple languages globally.

Bhakta Avatar Das from Austin, Texas, received a Mantra Meditation Guide designed by Hoofprint Media and later became involved and an initiated devotee. He recently shared his inspiring story, “First of all, I would like to humbly thank you for your service in creating the Mantra Meditation Guide. If you had not, I would not be here. I hung it on my wall after receiving it and some books while in high school. I tried reading the books, but I could not understand them, nor did I like them, so I cast them aside for some time. But one day, I plucked the Mantra Meditation Guide from off my wall and chanted for the first time and had an amazing experience! I was inspired to buy beads, and I began trying to chant rounds. I then came in contact with Krishna Bhagavan Prabhu because of the website featured on the back of the pamphlet. If it were not for your service, I would still be completely suffering in the material world. I owe you my life, Prabhu!”

Bhismadeva Das revealed, “In this digital age, conscious design & capture is essential. Our professionally designed websites serve as central hubs, offering user-friendly platforms to disseminate information about ISKCON’s philosophy, practices, events, and community initiatives. Our engaging graphics visually convey the essence of Krishna consciousness, making it more accessible and appealing to a broader audience. Our high-quality photography and videography are powerful mediums for documenting and sharing ISKCON’s vibrant culture and festivals, creating visually compelling narratives that resonate with both existing devotees and newcomers.” He continued, “These multimedia elements are strategically employed on social media platforms, contributing to increased visibility, awareness, and participation in ISKCON’s spiritual endeavors. In essence, our professional websites and creative visual content play a pivotal role in effectively communicating the depth and richness of Krishna consciousness to a diverse global audience.”

In the upcoming 2024 year, Hoofprint Media looks forward to taking on additional projects, one of which involves the launch of the new website for Krishna Lunch So Cal. This food truck initiative follows an extensive legal battle spanning several years to secure approval for the distribution of prasadam on the UCLA campus and beyond.

Bhismadeva Dasa concluded, “In the coming years, we envision Hoofprint Media playing a pivotal role in advancing the global outreach and expansion of Krishna consciousness through its multifaceted creative services. By continually refining our expertise in web design, graphic design, photography, and film, we aim to offer a dynamic and visually compelling platform for ISKCON temples, outreach initiatives, and devotee-owned businesses. Through strategic collaboration and leveraging the power of multimedia, we aspire to contribute significantly to the dissemination of spiritual knowledge, fostering a deeper connection and understanding among diverse global audiences. The future holds exciting possibilities as we strive to be at the forefront of creatively amplifying the message of Krishna consciousness on a global scale. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve Srila Prabhupada’s movement and mission in this capacity.”
