Increase Your Energy by Supporting Your Thyroid And Adrenals

To increase your energy it’s important to consider the health of your thyroid and adrenal glands. Like the brake and the gas pedal in your car – you must make sure that both are working at their highest ability for optimal health. Do you know the signs of thyroid dysfunction and adrenal fatigue?

Millions of people have thyroid and adrenal problems and don’t even know it. A closer look at the thyroid reveals that this tiny little gland (located in the neck) is so powerful – it only needs to produce one teaspoon of thyroid hormone to drive the metabolic rate of every cell in your body. Thyroid disorders or adrenal fatigue can increase your risk for anxiety, depression, hair loss, heart disease, obesity plus much more.

Rejuvenate yourself before it’s too late.

Obviously, if you sleep more than 8 hours per day and still feel sluggish – lifestyle changes must be made to get the most out of life. A tired body and mind is not normal. Don’t settle for less than you deserve – here’s a simple, 4-step plan to reclaim your life:

1. Relax – chronic stress can drain the life right out of you. Do everything you can to change your perspective through breathing exercises; daily mediation; listen to inspirational music or read something that will lift your spirits. Simply put, try not to “sweat the small stuff”.

2. Exercise – but don’t overdo it. Sometimes all it takes is a 10 – 20 minute (easy) walk to elevate your mood and spark a whole new outlook on your life. Naturally, aerobic exercise is also good for your heart and will increase your metabolism. But, remember, take it easy and enjoy it!

3. Eat a healthy diet – because the right food helps you balance your hormones and reduce inflammation. Try to avoid refined carbohydrates; increase your intake of plant-based nutrients and boost your consumption of healthy fats rich in omega-3, such as, walnuts, chia seeds and flaxseeds.
