Welcoming Our Beloved Residents

It is by the Lord’s Mercy that Krishna’s Home Assisted Living is now a sanctuary for four wonderful souls who have journeyed from afar to be in a Krishna-conscious home that supports their daily needs. As we reflect on the first month since our grand opening, it is with immense gratitude that we witness the harmonious transition of these cherished individuals into our care here in Tucson, Arizona.

A Refuge of Devotion

Many of our residents arrived from environments unaligned with their spiritual needs. By Krishna’s arrangement, we see the relief and happiness in their eyes as they engage in a lifestyle steeped in devotion. Our home operates on the principles of Srila Prabhupada’s teachings, ensuring a spiritually nurturing environment that fosters physical and mental rejuvenation.

Art and Devotion

This month, our home was graced by the artistry of one of the original ISKCON artists, renowned for his divine paintings in temples and spiritual literature, including the illustrious ceiling in Los Angeles. Our resident Caruhasa Das and his artwork, especially the beloved painting of “Narasimha Dev,” brings a profound depth of devotion and beauty to our daily lives.

Nourishment for Body and Soul

We are also blessed by the generosity of Govinda’s Natural Foods Buffet, which provides daily prasadam that respects our vegetarian dietary practices — a comfort our residents sorely missed in their previous assisted living residences. We aim to secure sponsors to support regular meals for our residents, enhancing their spiritual and physical well-being.

Encouraging Independence

Krishna’s Home believes in fostering independence among our residents, providing them with opportunities to regain confidence lost through health challenges. From participating in kirtans and devotional readings to engaging in arts and crafts, our residents are finding joy and autonomy in daily activities. They also take part in practical tasks like washing their dishes, which enriches their sense of purpose. With grace, they prepare flower petals for worship; they have a daily exercise schedule that supports their needs for physical improvement.

Join Us in Service and Love

As we continue to grow and serve, we invite you to join us—whether by sponsoring meals at Govinda’s Buffet which will be of great support, sharing skills, or simply spending time with our residents. Your support makes a world of difference in keeping our spiritual community vibrant and thriving.
