Poem: The Amazing Acharya

Srila Prabhupada introduced us all to the path of bhakti yoga and the sublime benefits of chanting the holy names of Krishna in the form of the maha-mantra. With great humility, never taking undue personal credit for his accomplishments, Srila Prabhupada once expressed, “My only credit is that I have strictly followed the order of my guru.”

The Amazing Acharya

With an unconditional faith

In his Guru’s words

Carried the Light of the Bhagavata

Into the darkness of ignorance

Totally fearlessly

Singing Lord’s glories

Awakening the love in the hearts of many

For Krsna, The Reservoir of Pleasure

Fanning the spark

Of faith and love

Teaching us to water

The seed of bhakti

Injecting the transcendental sound

Into the depths of the bewildered hearts

Showering the rains of mercy

With limitless love

Spreading without discrimination

The Message of Godhead

For the peace and goodwill

Of the fallen conditioned souls

Wanting us to understand

The Perfection of Yoga

Teaching us to stay humble and tolerant

The unalloyed servant of

Krsna, The Supreme Personality

Sharing with the humanity

The Science of Self Realization

And the path of sincere surrender

Amidst threefold miseries of the world

So we all remember again

Our relationship with the Supreme Lord

And our eternal position

Transcending the laws of nature

Having faith in

Raja-Vidya: The King of Knowledge

Taking shelter

At the Lotus feet of the Guru

The teachings of Bhagavad Gita

And Lord Chaitanya

Opening our eyes to

The glories of SrimadBhagavatam

And the pure devotional service

As an ultimate goal of life

So we can engage in loving devotional service

Beyond Birth and Death

Knowing that The Real Peace Formula

Is to Chant and Be Happy

On the Way to Krsna

Taking the Journey of Self Discovery

Back to Godhead…..

Jaya Srila Prabhupada!
