On 27th of April 2015, Radhanath Swami spoke at a Civitatis Forum Policy Seminar for the Ambassadors to the Court of St. James’s at Goodenough College, in the United Kingdom. The policy seminar was titled “Peace and Prosperity in the 21st Century: a Conversation with Edward Mortimer CMG and His Holiness Radhanath Swami.” Radhanath Swami was interviewed in the presence of Ambassadors and diplomats from 37 nations by Mr. Edward Mortimer CMG, Distinguished Fellow of All Souls College Oxford and former Chief Speechwriter to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and Director of Communications at the United Nations.

The Civitatis Forum Policy Seminar for the Ambassadors to the Court of St. James’s was a private conference that was convened at the invitation of the Founder and Executive Chairman of Civitatis Forum, Mr. Jan Mortier and Civitatis Forum is a foundation that promotes “peace, dialogue and cooperation between nations and civilizations.”

Ambassadors and diplomats from many nations around the world came to listen to Radhanath Swami’s unique insights into spirituality and peace. Also present were members of the House of Lords, directors of state banks and minsters of energy and industry from European countries along with members of the British foreign policy establishment. Devotees from Bhaktivedanta Manor and Radha Krishna Temple London were also in attendance.

Sitting at the head of the table of the thirty seven nations represented at this Civitatis Forum Ambassadors’ Policy Seminar, Radhanath Swami answered Edward Mortimer’s questions in a stimulating conversation about his experiences in his book “The Journey Home” and his insights into world peace, the soul and the divine as Krishna. All those present were engaged by the profound conversation and were interested to learn about Vaishnava culture and what the Vedas and the Bhagavad Gita can bring to the world table for peace and prosperity.

In commenting after the policy seminar, the Chairman of Civitatis Forum Mr. Jan Mortier said: “We were delighted to host His Holiness Radhanath Swami for our Policy Seminar for the Ambassadors to the Court of St. James’s on Peace and Prosperity in the 21st Century. At Civitatis Forum we deal with issues of international peace and security, it was good to be reminded by His Holiness of the dimension of the divine in global affairs and of the importance of the Vedas in building a better more peaceful world civilization. We welcome partners who share this goal.”
