On January 18, 7:30 PM EDT, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) and the Vedic Friends Association (VFA) will be hosting an online webinar entitled “The Western Hindu Perspective on the Revitalization of Ayodhya Ram Mandir.”
Webinar panelists include Balabhadra Bhattacarya Dasa, Sri Nandanandana Dasa, and Kavindra Rishi. Balabhadra Bhattacarya is the President of the co-sponsoring organization, the VFA, which has as its aim “to present, preserve, protect and promote the principles and practices of the Universal Dharma, in all its dimensions.” Sri Nandanandana is the founding president of VDA. Kavindra Rishi is the founder of the Vedic Academy of Sciences & Arts (VASA), and a founding member of VFA. You can learn more about VFA at its website.
The timing of the webinar is connected to the already-begun celebrations for the opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, India. On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated an 11-day ritual ahead of the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple scheduled to take place on January 22, 2024.
The webinar’s other sponsor, the VHPA, was founded in 1970 to address the social, educational, cultural, intellectual, and spiritual needs of the Hindu society in the US and to network with other Hindu organizations with humanitarian causes worldwide.
