It’s no doubt that long traffic hours, desk-bound jobs, endless chores, altogether lead to a complete mental and physical exhaustion. Owing to the overworked body, many people are unable to pursue their hobbies or find it difficult to indulge in any other form of exercise. All this is because of low energy levels and insufficient prana (vital force) in the body. Now, if you are wondering whether there exists any powerful solution to increase the energy, then the science of yoga is to your rescue.

The unerring and day-to-day practice of yoga gives the much-needed energy boost that powers the practitioners for the rest of the day. Yoga practices are highly effective in reducing mind-body fatigue that zips up the energy levels in the body. Also, yoga is best known for lowering stress levels that ultimately elevates the energy levels in the body.

Energize your core with yoga practices, rightful eating, and sound sleep. Awake to a beautiful morning with strength and vitality. Here is a list of  three glorious ways in which yoga increases your energy. Take a look at the pointers below:

1. Yoga Postures: No one can probably think of yoga practice without the performance of yoga postures on a regular basis. Yoga asanas are the most cost-effective way of relaxing and rejuvenating the body and mind. Moving the body in different directions and forms may be averted by some of the entities but the fact is that the performance of yoga postures remove blockages along the spinal cord and smoothes the energy flow within the body. The consistent practice of specific yoga poses such as cobra pose, downward yoga posture, bow yoga asana, tree pose and many others reduce the body fatigue, strengthen the organs, activate the chakras within the body, create positive sensations and revitalize the body. The practice of back-bending yoga postures like a camel, bridge, wheel, etc., is highly effective in awakening the mind and body energy.

2. Yogic Breathing Techniques: Don’t get surprised if you get to know that by changing your breathing patterns you can make a considerable difference in your health and the energy levels. Most people breathe very shallowly in their day-to-day life which results in less oxygen supply to the body organs. Conscious breathing allows an optimal exchange of oxygen with the rest of the body yielding to a greater energy and healthier body system. Practice the various breathing techniques like skull-shining pranayama,  three-part yogic breathing, alternate nostril breathing technique, etc. that regulate the blood flow in the body, calm the mind, and invigorate the senses. Deep yogic breathing exercises are powerful in activating the Kundalini Energy. The pranayama frees up the Kundalini energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine and allows it to flow through the seven chakras of the body. These seven chakras are regarded as the energy centers of the body that result in higher consciousness, creativity, and harmony when stimulated.

3. Meditation: Several individuals wish for extra vitality and zeal that keep them going through the day. To fulfill the demand, many of us rely on substances like energy drinks, vitamins, etc., that only provides a temporary energy boost. For permanent results, take up the meditation practices. Meditation has the power to suppress the negative feelings and to foster positive experiences. Peaceful meditation massively upgrades the body’s stress response and leads to an increased energy flow. Meditation practices calm the mind and foster feelings of love, peace, and eternal bliss. When the mind rests in a serene state it allows a person to live in the present and in harmony with the self. Meditation also increases the cosmic energy within the body that helps people encounter vivacious and vibrant experiences.

Together with yoga postures, breathing techniques, and meditation energize, oxygenate your body and lead a high-spirited life.
